DIMDEX 2018: Qatar orders Bayraktar UAVs
Qatar’s Reconnaissance and Surveillance Centre (RSC) signed a contract for the procurement of six Bayraktar unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) from the Turkish company Baykar Makina during the DIMDEX show held in Doha from 12-14 March.

“The six tactical UAVs will be delivered to Qatar in the near future and are capable of carrying different kinds of weapons and ammunition,” RSC commander Brigadier General Mohammed Al-Ramazani told Jane’s . “The selection of the Bayraktar UAV is a good decision.”
Qatar has previously ordered mini UAVs from Baykar, but the larger Bayrkaktar will be the country’s first tactical UAVs.
